You know you are in Tiong Bahru when you see these flats. The design is one of a kind giving you that laid-back 1960s feeling when you might see aunties with beehive hairstyles and teens in a-go-go fashion and you see the toc-toc mee boy wandering around the corridors hoping that someone would place an order of noodles with him. This is a nice neighbourhood to retire in except that the property prices here are high as the sky - you pay for nostalgia and a neighbourhood that is almost a tourist attraction.
