Chinatown

This is the Chinese New Year period that spans 15 days annually in the Lunar Calendar. Today is just a few days till the festive period ends. I wandered around Chinatown in the morning when the shops and stalls were just beginning to open for business. It was peaceful and if it wasn't for the red and gold decorations, it could have been any ordinary day. At night, the lighted lanterns in the shape of goats lined the divider of the main road. Other than these auspicious depictions of the Year of the Goat, the feeling was no different than that of an ordinary day.
