Pompeii - Life in a Roman Town 79CE

The Pompeii - Life in a Roman Town 79CE Exhibition at the National Museum of Singapore ran from 16 Oct 2010 - 23 Jan 2011 and featured artifacts from the archaeological sites of Pompeii and the surrounding towns that were on loan from a museum in Naples, Italy. Mt Vesuvius erupted on 24 August 79CE and buried the town of Pompeii and the neaby towns with volcanic mud and ash and it was only in the 18th Century that they were rediscovered. The exhibition gave me a glimpse of what life was like in Pompeii and in particular how a rich person's house would look like.
