When I first saw these mosaic-covered sculptures on Sentosa island I thought they bore a resemblance to those of Antoni Gaudi in Park Guelle, Barcelona. The Merlion Walk on Sentosa island has several meters of fun scultptures with water flowing through them and at times squirts of water leap playfully from one section to another to the delight of visitors like me.
I have passed through this intricate metal gateway several times and never really stopped long enough to admire it in detail. This time, I did and discovered that I had missed much in this work of art in the past.
The bells sounded a melody at noon.
