MICA Building

The MICA Building is one of my favourite buildings in Singapore. Though it has been refurbished it retains the spirit of uprightness, uniformity and solidity that makes it outstanding next to the faceless glass and concrete buildings around it.

I just love the colourful windows, an idea that saved the building from looking like a white-washed jail.

It is no wonder then that it was a former police station.

Now it is the Ministry Information, Communications and the Arts within which are many art galleries and a cafe where you and sit and chat with a long-lost friend and get to know her the way you never knew her when she was sitting in your class breathing the same air and listening to the same teachers for so many months in a year.
