Lasalle College of the Arts

If a building can be loved, then this has to be it. Or maybe just by people like me. Some people may not like but I do. It was love at first sight the first time I saw this black box looming in the distance. Today I stepped into its premises and I became even deeper in love with its interior.

The lines zigzag, the facades slant, the roof is like a gigantic tent overhead and yet the space was filled with peace and I felt that my spirit blended perfectly in harmony with this place. It was a wonderful experience just to sit in the centre below the tall sculpture by the late Brother McNally.

It was great to see art students expressing their inner feelings without being self-conscious about who might be judging their work.

The bridge, the trees and the openness of this scene makes this one of my favourite photos of the place.
Art is life and life is art.
I'll be back.
