Food places

This eatery along Thompson Road is well known for its wanton noodles and crispy roast pork that seem to melt with every bite. I used to love the dumplings too. Though I enjoyed this meal for a late breakfast before exploring the trail at Lower Peirce Reservoir, I was disappointed that the dumplings were not made in the usual Cantonese style. These were no different from those in the food courts. I missed biting into the yellow, translucent skin and the crunchy shrimp, mushroom and meat filling of the dumplings served in the past.

Lunch came and we had this sumptuous meal at Orchid Country Club at one of its food outlet that is open to the public. The view of the Golf Course was great for a leisurely meal.

Mouth-watering desserts of Chendol and Ice-Kachang.
