This area is like a town centre where all activities on the island begin and end. It is where you rent your bikes, hire a van to get to places like Chek Jawa, eat and drink, arrive and depart from the island of Ubin. There are public toilets, an Information Kiosk and a Police Post. After lunch in one of the seafood restaurants we set out on the second leg of our exploration of Pulau Ubin on foot voting against hiring bicycles because we had decided to take a look at Ubin Quarry on the western side of the island.
