Where in SIngapore

This park does not have a scenic seafront. It has no white sand beach and the horizon is a line broken by the presence of boats and ships because of a port on one side and a shipyard on the other. On certain evenings, it does have beautiful sunsets and there is always a a gentle breeze blowing inland.

It has trees that have been here for years. Twice I have photographed herons perched on their branches.

The trees are not able to keep out the noise from the busy road on one side and the port on the other. The greenery soothes the eyes but the noise assails your ears.

The park is reasonably well maintained by cleaners.

These lovely lamp posts are in danger of being replaced by no-fuss, utalitarian looking types that ruin your photos.

Trees shed their leaves but before that they treat us to an Autumn scene.

My job is well done so that you can enjoy your walks.

Where in Singapore?

Where in Singapore is there free parking after 5pm inside the Central Business District, where you can wait for time to pass surrounded by greenery and not be bothered by the traffic congestion and the homebound multitude leaving their offices? I was there, half and hour to spare in between my commitments, playing around with the zoom lens.

Where in Singapore?

Once upon a time, they had their place in the city. Where are they now these familiar Ng Eng Teng sculptures?

Where in Singapore?

Far away in a corner of Singapore, we discovered this place - spacious, artistic architecture, greenery and for now, not so crowded yet.

Where in Singapore?

Where in Singapore can you have a great time for free?
Where you can walk anyway you like
talk about anything you like
with a person you like
that you call a friend?
Where in Singapore can you bond with your kids?
Where you chase them around and they blow bubbles
toddle by the lake, feed the graceful white swans
alongside their sibling
who is their best friend?

Where in Singapore?

Seen from the car, scenes captured with my faithful IXUS 870 IS using ISO 1600. Just impressions, fleeting, not sharp, not professional but which marked my passage through time for the duration of the car ride through the interesting nightlife of Singapore. Where in Singapore?

Late dinner - Where in Singapore

Dinner under the stars, in the open, sitting at a side road and ordering fantastic Tze Char. Where in Singapore? Punggol, West Coast, Changi or Tuas?

Late night supper - Where in Singapore?

On Saturday night, we were hungry and around 10pm decided to go somewhere in the city for a nice supper. Where in Singapore did I go? Adam Road Food Court, Makansutra, Old Airport food court, Bedok food court? The clues are in some of the pictures here.

Sayur Lodeh - not much sayur (vegetables). Not something we would order again.
Mee soto - 4 star rating.
Satay - okay lah.
See how much three people could eat!
BBQ Stingray - yummy!
Lala - son's favourite. Not much meat in each shell though the taste is okay.
Not edible - just a giant art installation.
Homeward bound.
