It's been years since I last went to the Singapore Zoo. When the children were young, we were the friends of the Zoo and now that they are adults and the zoo has lost its appeal for them, we the parents have no more reason to visit the zoo. That is, until the zoo added the River Safari to its attractions. Last week, in order to benefit from the promotional entrance fees given in conjunction with the SG50 celebrations, a friend and I decided to take advantage of the reduced fees to see for ourselves the wonders of the mighty rivers of the world brought to us - the sea creatures of the rivers Mississippi, Mekong, Yangtze, Ganges and Nile rivers. Amazing experience! In addition, we also got to see the Pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia although Jia Jia was viewed on a monitor screen only.
